Senior Support Worker (Permanent)

Pay: £28,597.00 per year
Location: Tarvin/Chester

Job Description:

Medsolve Northwest have partnered with our client – a well-established, values-driven organisation with a strong commitment to dignity, inclusion, and person-centred support for adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs. They are passionate about empowering individuals to achieve their goals and creating a positive, supportive environment for both the people they support and their staff.

They are seeking to recruit a Senior Support Worker to work with the service manager at a supported living service located in a rural area outside near Chester. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Support Worker looking to take the next step in their career and further develop their leadership skills. In return, our client offers enhanced overtime rates, additional payments for on-call duties, and a welcome bonus.

Job type: Full-time (flexibility required to work shifts, alternate weekends, and participate in the on-call rota).

Responsibilities

As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the service, supporting the Service Manager to lead and develop a motivated team committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred support (deputising in the Service Managers absence). You will help coordinate staffing and rotas to ensure safe and effective service delivery, while also participating in on-call duties, providing guidance and support to staff and responding appropriately to incidents when required. Working closely with the individuals supported, you will build positive professional relationships and ensure support is delivered in line with individual care plans, promoting independence, choice and dignity. You will also provide hands-on support with daily living activities, including personal care, enabling individuals to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.

About you:

We are looking for a compassionate individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred support. You will have previous experience in a senior or supervisory care role such as a Senior Support Worker or Team Leader and be confident leading shifts, supporting colleagues, and promoting high standards of care. A Level 3 qualification (or above) in Health and Social Care is desirable, although support can be provided to achieve this qualification for the right candidate.

Please note unfortunately the client is unable to offer visa sponsorship. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.

Due to the nature of the service and the personal care requirements of the individuals supported, this post is open to female applicants only and a full UK driving licence is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Work Location: In person
