From your initial application to becoming fully activated for agency shifts, our team is here to support you every step of the way.
Step 1: Apply or Get in Touch
Whether you’ve seen one of our vacancies online or have been referred to us, the first step is simple: submit your application or contact our recruitment team.
We’ll discuss your experience, availability, preferred locations, and the types of shifts you’re looking for. You’ll be matched with the branch nearest your preferred work location: Chester-le-Street for the North East, Chester for the North West and North Wales. The registration process is the same at either branch.
Step 2: Complete Your Digital Registration
Once you’ve started the registration process, you’ll receive access to our secure Credentially platform.
This allows you to upload your documents securely, complete required forms online, monitor your onboarding progress, submit information from your phone, tablet, or computer, and receive updates throughout the process.
No printing, scanning, or endless paperwork required.
Step 3: Compliance Checks
To ensure we continue providing safe, high-quality staffing solutions, we’ll complete the necessary compliance checks.
These include the standard checks required across UK healthcare recruitment, from DBS to right-to-work verification, alongside professional registration checks and references from previous employers.
Our team will guide you throughout the process and keep you updated on any outstanding requirements.
Step 4: Training and Skills Development
At Medsolve, we’re committed to ensuring our agency workers feel confident, prepared, and supported before their first shift.
During your onboarding journey, you’ll be given access to our suite of online mandatory training courses, allowing you to complete essential learning modules at your own pace and from the comfort of your own home.
However, we don’t believe online training alone is enough.
That’s why all agency workers are also provided with access to our mandatory practical training, delivered in person at both our Chester and Chester-le-Street offices every month. You’ll attend the branch you’ll be working with. This hands-on training experience is designed to ensure you have the confidence, knowledge, and practical skills needed to work safely and effectively within a range of healthcare settings.
Our immersive training days provide an opportunity to refresh your skills, build confidence, ask questions, and meet members of the Medsolve team. It’s also a chance to gain a better understanding of agency working and what to expect when representing Medsolve within our client services.
We believe investing in our people helps us deliver the highest standards of care to our clients while ensuring our agency workers feel fully prepared for the varied and rewarding nature of agency work.
Step 5: Final Compliance Review
Once all documentation, training, and compliance requirements have been completed, our compliance team carries out a final review to ensure everything is in place.
We’ll let you know as soon as your file is complete and ready for activation.
Step 6: Activation and New Starter Induction
Once fully compliant, trained, and approved, you’ll be activated on our system and ready to work.
However, activation at Medsolve is more than simply ticking a box.
Before starting work, all new agency workers will be invited to attend a new starter induction with one of our experienced consultants. This session is designed to help you feel comfortable, confident, and fully prepared before accepting your first shift.
During your induction, we’ll guide you through our systems, explain how shifts are booked and managed, walk you through timesheets and payroll processes, and ensure you know exactly where to access support whenever you need it.
Most importantly, this is your opportunity to ask questions. Whether you’re new to agency work or have years of experience, we want to ensure you understand exactly how everything works and feel fully supported from day one.
Once your induction has been completed, you’ll be ready to start picking up shifts and working with our healthcare clients across North East and North West.
What You’ll Need Before You Start
To help your registration move as smoothly as possible, it’s worth having these to hand when you start your Credentially registration:
- Photo ID: passport or driving licence
- Proof of address: a utility bill or bank statement from the last three months
- Qualifications: copies of relevant certificates, such as NMC PIN for nurses, Care Certificate and NVQs
- References: contact details for every employer you’ve worked with in the past three years. We reference all of them, whether that’s two jobs or five
- DBS certificate: if you already have one on the update service, share the reference. If not, we’ll process a new check
- Bank details: for payroll
- National Insurance number: for payroll
If any of these are missing or hard to find, let your consultant know early. We can often work around it while the rest of your registration continues.
